The role of a Celebrant
You only get one chance to say good bye to your loved ones and I understand how important it is to get this perfect. Organising and planning a funeral service can be a daunting process, especially as you’re grieving and coming to terms with your personal loss.
A celebrant’s role is to help you achieve the service that you want and to make it a memorable, personal and a truly fitting tribute.
I will guide you through the funeral process, liaise as required with your funeral director and support you and your family with any special requests such as music and poetry suggestions that support you all through this difficult and overwhelming time.
No matter whether you already know what you’d like to have included in the service or are completely new to this process, I’ll be there to guide and support you as you need.
Kate Burns
Hi, I’m Kate! I’m a qualified independent funeral celebrant.
Each life is unique and each life story is filled with love, laughter and memories that reflect the nature of each individual.
I’m a firm believer that a positive funeral experience can play an important part in the grieving and healing process, helping to bring comfort and some closure to those involved.
As a celebrant, I will work with you to learn all about your loved one’s life and then create a personal story that’s unique to them, celebrating their personality, values and the legacy that they’ve left to you all.
As a naturally warm and compassionate person and mother to three children, I’m here to guide you through the funeral service process, supporting you and assisting you wherever needed.
